Rocío García-Carrión, Principal Investigator
Rocío García Carrión is an Ikerbasque Research Fellow at the University of Deusto. She has been a Marie Curie Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge (Faculty of Education), where she has also been a member of Wolfson College. She has spent time at universities such as Harvard and Cambridge; she has participated in European Framework Programme research projects, notably INCLUD-ED (FP6) and ChiPE (FP7), the results of which have been translated by the European Commission into 6 languages. She has published in high impact journals indexed in JCR, such as Qualitative Inquiry, Learning Culture & Social Interaction, European Journal of Education, International Journal of Offender Threapy & Compartmental Criminology, and her work is cited in journals indexed in Web of Science. She is currently President of the Multidisciplinary Association for Educational Research (AMIE), Head of Network 14 (Families, communities and schooling in educational research) of the European Educational Research Association (EERA) and Board Member of the World Educational Research Association (WERA). She leads the WERA-IRN OvercomInSchool International Research Network focusing on overcoming inequalities in schools and learning communities.
